My Code of Ethics

As a community leader and minister, it is my commitment to adhere to certain standards that allow me to focus attention on those who seek my services and what they need, and not what serves my own ego. It is my obligation to serve with empathy, compassion, and wisdom.

  • I will strive to maintain a positive attitude and thought process. What we think is powerful, and if I teach you to transform your negative thoughts and attitudes into positive to affect your life, then it is my responsibility to maintain the same standard concerning you and your progress.
  • Sessions are intended to be safe, calm, and interactive experiences for the client. I will strive to create an environment that feels safe and sacred for each client.
  • Sessions are for the client, and are solely focused on what the client needs at that time.
  • I will strive to continue to learn and grow to best serve my community. I will only offer services for what I am qualified to provide. I will continue to take at least 15 hours of continuing education each year, which includes classes, workshops, and independent reading.
  • I will abide by all state and federal laws in regards to services offered.
  • I respect all religions and spiritual walks that do not harm others, and will not engage in any attempts to sway anyone to my own personal beliefs or traditions.
  • I respect all persons, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or cultural differences. LGBTQIA+ friendly space. ENM/CNM friendly space.
  • Confidentiality and privacy is of utmost importance, and I will not share information about my clients to others except by written consent, or as ordered by law. Sessions will never be recorded or observed by others without permission from the client.
  • In regards to social media, I am not always on call just because I can be reached easily through social media. I have “on” days/hours and “off” days/hours.
  • Remember that social media is a public outlet, and anything that is revealed on social media is not considered confidential as it could be copied from groups or private messages into other spaces. I assume that anything I share on social media could be shared with others, even in private groups.
  • While anything outgoing from me should be assumed as not confidential, I will still assume anything said to me on social media by others is not public knowledge and I will always gain permission before sharing it.
  • Authenticity is desired in life, therefore I will strive to be the same person online as I am offline. Authenticity should be balanced with appropriateness, though, so I will maintain appropriate boundaries even on personal accounts.
  • I will not go out of my way to “friend” anyone on social media who is under the age of 18. They may “friend” me, but it is up to me if I accept the request or not and what contact level is given to the minor.
  • It is perfectly acceptable to have a personal account and a professional account on social media, but I am still held accountable for what is shared on both accounts.
  • I do not date or engage in romantic or sexual relationships with current clients.
  • Service is conducted with the attitude of serving our community, if you cannot pay full price, please let us know. Barters will be accepted as long as no harm results in the exchange, and if the client requests the bartering exchange. Barter exchanges may be agreed upon with a written contract.
  • As my clients are urged to take time for spiritual renewal and caring for yourself, I will do the same to make sure that my mind, body and spirit stays healthy and rejuvenated. Spiritual retreats, “sabbaticals” will be taken at least quarterly, and reasonable time off each week will be taken for family, as well as rest and renewal. Sabbaticals are meant to be used for spiritual refreshment and improvement. A reasonable time each year will be taken for family vacation as well, as our families are of utmost importance and should not be neglected.
